Question
I am wanting to check to make sure that the Encore beer I am referring to was made by Schlitz. I have a glass with the logo on it that was acquired somewhere between 1967 and 1972. Can you help me?
This is not quite in my area of expertise, but Google found some references. Schlitz made Encore in the 70s and early 80s, according to the information I found. The Library of Congress Robert R. Gitt Collection of Television Commercials (here: http://www.loc.gov/rr/mopic/findaid/gitt/gitt2.html) lists 3 commercials made in 1970 and 71. TavernTrove (breweriana sale site) currently shows 6 items (bottles, caps, cans) of this beer (http://snipurl.com/t288).
