Beer/sugar added to soon

Question
New to home beer making I received an entire kit for Christmas. I started my batch almost a week ago, I was reading more today and realized, much to my disappointed that I added the sugar to early, to phase one instead of waiting until I put it into the second pail after temperatures were staying the same over several days. Is the whole batch ruined and new supplies are in order, or can I follow thru with the rest of the steps and hope it works out. Thanks for your time. Ronald Roberts

Answer
Allow the fermentation to complete, until 2 or 3 days after the bubbling stops.  Then add 1/2 cup of corn sugar per 5 gallons of wort before bottling.  (I'm assuming that you are making 5 gallons of beer and bottling it as per the usual method.  If your kit is different, I'd need to know the particulars).

Hope this helps!

Expertise

I have been brewing beer at home for more than 10 years. Would like to help other people get started. I can recommend equipment, methods, ingredients, and estimate what it would cost to get set up. I have travelled a lot in Europe, and have tried many kinds of beer.

Experience

More than ten years of home brewing.
