Question
In February you posted that the carb content in a regular 12oz. beer is about 12-16 grams of which 0.15 to 2.0 is simple sugars.  What makes up the other carbohydrates?

Answer
the carbohydrate makeup in wort,is Glucose,Fructose,Sucrose,Maltose, and Maltotriose.Maltose is the highest concentration. These sugars are produced during the mashing process, and by process can be adjusted to provide body to the finished beer, thus the range of 12 to 16 grams of these carbohydrates in finished beer.

Maltose,Maltotriose,Maltotetrase,Glucose, are 4 simple sugars that cannot be completely fermented by yeast,so the range of 0.15 to 0.20 grams of unfermentable carbohydrates in beer
