Question
Hi Steve -
I have several investment accounts, and would like to track them more closely online, as well as establish a watch list.  However, am concerned about my data being harvested and being inundated with spam, sales pitches, etc. This is just for my personal use; I'd like to have the data all in one place.  Are sites like Yahoo and Smart Money safe, or should I spring for some software?  If so, any recommendations?  (I have a Mac.)
Thanks.
Kathy

Answer
Hi Kathy,

I don't see why yahoo or google finance would be an issue.

If you are concerend about spam, set up an email account that you only use to access the online tracking and don't sweat it.

Seems to me that with excel on your mac or some other spreadsheet and the watch functions on google finance or yahoo you would be good to go.

Best,

Steve
