Questionhi. i'm new to the stock market. is there a EQUITY GROWTH fund that i can buy into? my 401K through home depot is doing very well, and i have it all in equity growth. looks like even if i stop saving into it, it will make money. hhmmmmm......
AnswerKen,
Thank you for your question! Unfortunately I do not have some specific growth funds to recommend. It is always trouble to recommend specific funds, as one never quite knows how they will do in the future. I would prefer to offer some suggestios on sources where you could do a little research to find a fund that is best for your specific needs.
I can tell you that www.morningstar.com is perhaps the most respected site online to do some research regarding mutual funds. Other sites are www.motleyfool.com and finance.yahoo.com Lipper is another company that offers research oriented around mutual funds. These sources should really get you going. Vanguard and Fidelity are two very large organizations that have many different types of funds, and certainly will offer some growth oriented funds.
I hope that this helps a bit, I am sorry that I could not throw out a few specific fund names for you. I can say that you are correct. Over time your investments will grow. If you can continue to add to your retirement accounts each month, they will grow even faster. Below is a great link to a calculator where you can enter the numbers regarding how much you have now, how much you can contribute each month, and how long until you plan to retire. The way investments grow over time, you may be excited about what you can generate over time! The longer the time frame the better, interest takes time to compound. A couple of decades or more of simple saving and investment is how to set yourself up for a wonderful retirement. Here is that link:

If you would like to follow up with me regarding whatever you are able to find in the above sources, I would be happy to be of service any way I can. Thanks again for your question!
