Question
Is real estate investing better than stocks and bonds?

Answer
Charly,
Thank you for your question! That is a very, very difficult one. The answer really requires that you examine your goals to see which type of investment works best for you. Unfortunately I do not have much knowledge about realestate, so cannot offer sound advice in this regard. However, I do have a suggestion. Pick up a copy of "investing for dummies". It is available at most major bookstores and on Amazon.com   This book discusses all aspects of most major forms of investment, including real estate, stocks, and bonds. You will very quickly find what is most appealing to you as it does a very good job of describing the benefits and disadvantages of each form of investment, including tax issues. Reading this book is the best advice I could offer you!
Should you decide that stocks or mutual funds are attractive to you, do not hesitate to follow up with me if I can be of any additional service.

Sincerely,
