Question
Dear Paul,

I read your answer about Investools seminar - dated 2004 - which indicates doubt on it. Since long has passed to see the experimental results of such seminars, could you please let me know if they are reliable? I have registered for one this Saturday on Park Ave. NYC.

Thanks,
Shan

Answer
Thank you for your question!
Unfoturnately I am not familiar with the Investools seminar, but perhaps I can offer some general impressions. Most seminars are not worth it. Usually when a company offers a seminer, they are more concerned with the revenue that such a seminar generates either through the fees to attend, or if it is a free seminar the revenues that are generated through the subscription to their services that are generated by selling to a captive audience. Usually the actual research and advice the offer is second rate at best.
If you do attend, I would be very skeptical of everything they say. Perhaps it is valuable, most likely it is not. Be sure to follow your instincts, ask questions, and really analyze what they are telling you.
Generally if you spend the same resources on purchasing some books and other research to read, you will find much more value.
I hope this brief suggestion is of value to you, please do not hesitate to follow up with me if I can be of any further service!

Sincerely,
