Beginner Investing/Kuwaiti dinar
Expert: Paul Henneman - 11/29/2004
QuestionTo Mr. Henneman:
I got a tip from a friend that the Kuwaiti dinar (I think that's how that currency is spelled) will almost certainly go up in value within the next decade and that it would make a sound investment. Do you know if this is true? Also, if it is, how would an American be able to purchase the dinar online? I thank you for your help.
AnswerThank you for your question!
Unfortunately my experience lies with US stocks and equity investments. I do not have enough experience or knowledge to provide any worthwhile guidance regarding foreign currency. However, the one small note of advice I would give is to never invest based on a friend's advice! Do as much research as you can (asking an Allexpert is a great start). There is absolutely no way to know for sure what any investment, including currency, will do for the next 10 years. I'm sure your friend is optimistic about his investment, but there is never 'almost certainty' in investments. Look to diversify what you do invest, I do not recommend putting everything you have into a small number of investments.
If your research indicates to you that the Kuwaiti Dinar is attractive to you, invest some, but never all of what you have!
I hope this is somewhat helpful, I am sorry that I could not be of more assistance! Please do not hesitate to follow up with me if I can be of any additional service.
Sincerely,
Paul Henneman
