Question
Hello,
How are you? I have a basic question and would be sincerely greatful for any information. I am very interested in investing for the first time.  I have a few companies in mind that I would like to invest in.  I was just wondering how I would get started? Do I need a broker or can I invest on my own? Where would I go to invest (any recomended websites etc.)? Thank you for your time and patience. I will be graciously awaiting your response.
Sincerely,
corina        riridoll1@aol.com

Answer
Corina,

I would recommend that you go to the local library and pull out the Valueline. I also think you should read the Moringstar. In Moringstar you can find a good mutual fund. You can buy these directly from the mutual fund, and just contact them. I think mutual funds are the best starting point, since they own stocks anyway.
