Answer
Very few people should be involved with stocks at any level. I suggest that you go to the public library and read through Morningstar book. This would be for free, and you could also read the Valueline book. In Morningstar, you could find a good mutual fund that has many stock and bonds within the fund. I have never recommended in thirty years for anyone to invest in stocks unless they can afford to own 10 or more different companies of 100 shares or more. So, the newsletter you mention may or may not be appropriate for you. As to Fraud, this is calling me to reach a legal conclusion, which I have no expertise able to assess this opinion. These books mentioned are for free for your use in a public library, anyway.
