Question
I am a married 55 year old professional, my house is worth 180k and paid for, I  have about 80k in IRA money, and about 20k in profit sharing at work. Can you tell me how to learn about self directed IRA to invest in houses? I need to earn more money for my retirement.
Thank you for your time,
Steve Cook

Answer
Steve,

There is not IRA trustee that will allow this investment into houses. It is because of the borrowing and this is not permitted. I would recommend choosing a good mutual fund out of Morningstar or the http://wfnn.info site to have you money go into.
