Question
What does a person need to do to learn investing?  Is it college courses, study every book you can find on the subject?  Trial and error?  I read all kinds of investment literature and do not understand how you get to where you can undestand what they mean by what they say.  Other than terms you find in a glossary, how do you get to where you know and SEE the same things they know and see about markets and the mechanics of the markets.  Long and short term trends, etc.  Thank you for any help and advice,  It is greatly appreciated and may you have a great day.

Answer
Michael,

You might try the http://ibrokerpower.com site. There is some training there. At http://www.argosyu.edu you can pick up some courses for college credit. You can also go to the public library and read Valueline and Morningstar, and since this is free, it is a good start. The http://wfnn.info is a free site is a good place with information to start learning. Reading books on George Soros and Warren Buffet are also good starting places.
