AnswerAhmed,
Thank you for your questions!
Yes, most of these topics are good for you as a beginner investor to read about. I do have a recommendation for a book that will cover almost all of these subjects in one source. The book "Investing for Dummies" will do this. It will give you a good summary of most major topics in investing, and then you do more research on specifics that interest you.
I would recommend not reading about shorting a stock at first. This is a more complex topic, and you should gain some more experience before looking into this.
I do like the mutual fund topic. I think mutual funds are the best way for beginners to start. Mutual funds are less risky, easy to purchase, and can help your investments grow while you learn about investing in stocks. I would strongly suggest reading and doing research for a year or more before starting to invest in stocks. This type of investment can provide good growth for your money, but is risky and if not done properly can lose you money as well.
Of the titles you listed, I believe that these would be the most helpful to you:
How (NOT) to Buy Mutual Funds
Investing in Dividend Paying Stocks
Don't Buy Stocks based on P/E Ratio alone
A Personal Stock Market Investment Philosophy
I hope this helps! Please do not hesitate to follow up with me if I can be of any additional service,
Sincerely,
