Question
Hi Paul,

Presently I am reading a popular book titled "Rich Dad Poor Dad". There are many books from the same author with similar titles. Have you read any? If you have read this and any other book from "Richdad.com", I want to know whether these books help in making "Intelligent Investors" and thereby "Making Rich" as they claim.

What you say?

Regards,
Rohit.

Answer
Thanks Rohit for the question!
Unfortunately I am not familiar with "Rich Dad Poor Dad". But I am a big believer in reading everything that you can. I looked up the website richdad.com and see that it is a very, very popular site. Some general observations:
The book you mention appears to be a NY times bestseller, a good sign. I like the summary I read, about how to change thinking from accumulating cash to instead the accumulation of assets that generate cash flow. This concept is right on in my opinion, and so if the book follows up on this basic idea well, it could be very worthwhile. My hectic schedule means it will likely take me a few months to get to it, but my interest is enough that I will try to read this. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
One of the authors I find very informative is William O'Neil, head of Investors Business Daily. He has had an excellent reputation for creating stock investment strategies for many decades. I just finished "The Successful Investor" and recommend that as a worthwhile read.
