I am an 18 year old high school student and never in my years of school have i seen a first grader get kicked out of school for playing with a toy gun that wasn't even his. My teachers would have asked who's it was and then punished them not the other way around plus I think kicking him out was a little to much on the schools part.

Children have played cops and robbers cowboys and Indians for years .

I understand the reason behind the gun scare and the concerns. but we also need to remember this is there time for being a child. They spend most of there waking hours in school and as a 6 year old being labeled for being a little boy is nonsense. We wonder why they become so defensive as they turn into teenagers. The school rules no snowball fights no hugging no running around no laughing dear lord no being a child. It is time we gave back there innocent time. They only get it once. Please be aware I do not buy toy guns for my grandchildren and I believe that children should be taught the dangers of them but it seems to me the mother did her job and the school needs to leave it at that. I am sure the principle played cowboys and Indians.
