WE ALSO HAVE TRAVELED QUITE A LOT, NOT ONLY IN US, BUT AROUND THE WORLD.  WE WINTER IN FLORIDA AND ARE INTERESTED IN GOING OVER TO BELIZE FOR A WHILE THIS WINTER.  DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ABOUT WHERE TO STAY, PLACES TO EAT AND TOURS OR SIDE TRIPS WE SHOULD TAKE.  ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.  THANKS MUCH!

Hi John,
  When we went there, we stayed for a couple of days on the island of Ambergris Caye and really enjoyed it. It only has one town on the island because it is so small, and the people are really friendly.

   Then we went  back to the mainland and stayed in the resort called Maruba about 40 miles from Belize City in the jungle. I think I enjoyed that most of all. It has a lot of things to do there (pool, hot tub, massage, etc.)Then you can take a trip to see the Mayan ruins that are close to there. I recommend that one if you like the jungle and stuff.
