If Kimberly is still reading this (rather old) question, I would be very interested in an update on her progress. I'm considering moving to Belize myself and, like Kimberly said, having access to local knowledge and contacts makes the decision to go just that much easier.

I've found the websites http://belize.fm and http://liveandinvestoverseas.com to provide useful info. Perhaps Kimberly would like to get in touch for the "contacts in Belize" part?
