hello i am intrested in belly dancing i am writing a informative paper for my english class and i decided to write about belly dancing in different countries can you help me find some sources regarding the history of belly dancing and what countries are more popular of having belly dancing.

The first site that I would like to recommend is one of the dancer and educator Morocco who is considered by many to be one of the most knowledgeable people regarding what she calls "fakelore" (rather than folklore!)  She has a list of articles on her site that you will find helpful.
Her URL is http://www.casbahdance.org/ .
The next is www.Shira.net .  This very knowledgeable lady has spent quite a bit of her life compiling information for the online dance community.  Her site is vast and includes many links to sites where you can find even more information.
Finally, my suggestion is that you GOOGLE "Belly Dance in America", "Belly Dance in the Middle East" "Belly Dance in Turkey", "Belly Dance in Japan" etc.
