Question
Hi,
We are visiting Bermuda in August, my husband is worried it will be very expensive to eat out, we have a cottage booked in the West area, Sandys, are there many places to eat out there?

Answer
Hi Nicola,

There will be many areas to eat at the Dockyard which is a short bus trip. In Somerset Village you will the Country Squire, a picturesque place on Mangrove Bay.

West, will be Pompano Beach which is open to the public.  All hotel, cottage colonies will serve the public too!  Further west on Southshore Road will be Teo Pepe's and a place or lunch at the lighthouse.  In that are is Henry VIII Tavern and for a special night out Coconuts at the Reefs.

The cost of food in Bermuda is somewhat higher than here at home.  A fish sandwich w/ fries, or a hamburger w/ fries might cost $12.95 each.  Add a couple cokes and taxes and you get the picture for lunch.  I think you'll be dinning all over the island as you explore, or visit the different areas.  Do check out the pubs.  Pubs are very big in Bermuda.

Happy planning!
