Bermuda/Travel to Bermuda
Expert: Michael - 5/14/2008
QuestionHi,
I am thinking of travelling to Bermuda the first week on November. Is this still a good time to go? Also, DO you know anything about Cambridge Beaches Resort?
AnswerHi Wendy,
Mid November is the very end of the "high" season. I feel that the first week of November will bring you warm weather and be warm enough for ocean frolicking.
I usually go in Sept or October. The 40 year mean for October is:
Air = while Sea Surface = 76.8F
The November 40 year mean is:
Air = 74.5F Surface Sea =72.7F
If you extrapolate dead nuts between the middle of October and November you would compile the 1st week of November to have approximate air temperature of 77.9F while the sea surface temperature may be close to 73.6F.
OK enough of that foolishness. I think you get the idea. Good weather. Remember that the air could be much warmer any day on a daily basis. The ocean will remain the same.
Cambridge Beaches is a high quality resort. Part of the distinguished "Bermuda Collection." My wife would cut her arm off to go there. Perhaps one day I'll surprise her with Cambridge Beaches and let her keep her arm.
The resort has several beaches and is quaint and quiet. CB offers a ferry to Hamilton to break up the day and it is a beautiful way to see Bermuda from another perspective. Cambridge Beaches is very Bermudian. We have visited the grounds. Delightful. If this is your choice don't second guess yourself.
Happy planning!
