Answer
Karen,

If you are only going to Horseshoe Bay (as round trip) I would suggest you buy tokens for the bus at the visitor's center in Dockyard. If you tell them you need to buy round trip tokens for 5 adults and a child to Horseshoe Bay, they will tell you how much to pay and will give you tokens in return. The ride to Horseshoe Bay will be about half an hour, and there are a couple of options to getting off. First, chances are many many other tourists will be going to Horseshoe Bay, as its the most popular, so there will be a group getting off at the beach and you could get off with them. Secondly, you can ask the bus driver to let you off at Horseshoe Bay, and he will announce it once he stops (which they normally do anyways during tourist season). There is a bus stop going the other way across the street that you can get the bus back the other way.
I hope this information was helpful.
