We will be taking a cruise to Bermuda in mid-August and will be there for 2 1/2 days. We will be arriving on a Tuesday at 11:30 am at St. George's. Is there a snorkeling company on the  island that you recommend that we can contact when we arrive for that day in the afternoon? Or if we have our own snorkeling equipment, is snorkeling off Tobacco Bay a good alternative? We plan to go to Horseshoe Bay the following day. Are there other beaches that you would recommend?

Enjoy Bermuda.

Tobacco Bay is near the ship's dock in St. George.  I would recommend you bring your own equipment.  A best place is Church Bay just a bit further south down from Horseshoe Bay.  Both are accessible from shore.   

Do call the department of tourism (800.BERMUDA) and request a Handy Reference Map and Transportation Guide.
