Bermuda/Bermuda Beaches

Question
I will be cruising into Bermuda in mid July. I walk either with a cane or a walker and want to know if I can get to any of the beaches. I have read that the trip down is long and steep. I spent 20 years visiting the country when my late husband had business there but only used the beach at the Fairmont Southampton when my health was excellent.
Thank you for your help.

Answer
Barbara,

Most south shore beaches (the most popular) do have long steep roads to get to them. If you take a taxi, they are able to take you down the hill so you can get right on to the beach. I would suggest Horseshoe Bay or Warwick Long Bay because the road leads right into the sand. Many other beaches have trails through trees to get to them and that wouldn't be so easy for you.

Have a great day!
