Bermuda - Bermuda Cedar (Juniperus bermudiana

Question
My wife & I were recently in Bermuda and loved everything about it! I'm very interested in the endemic plants and just recently bought a Bermuda Palmetto. I'm having a very difficult time finding a source for the Bermuda Cedar. Are you aware of anyone that sells seeds or saplings for the Bermuda Cedar? Thanks in advance. Sincerely, Gordon

Answer
Hi Gordon,

After a quick Internet search, I have to say that I found nothing to direct you to a source of the endangered Bermuda Cedar, which, as you know, is actually part of the juniper family.  Is there a county extension service where you live?  Or agricultural university or botanical garden? I'd start with a trusted greenhouse or you might even pose the question to someone at the Botanical Gardens in Bermuda.  Perhaps they can point you in the right direction stateside. The phone number is: 441-236-4201.  Sorry I can't be of more help.  Good Luck!
