Bermuda/Bermuda weather in May
Expert: Michael - 4/17/2011
QuestionHi Michael,
My boyfriend and I are considering a vacation to Bermuda May 12th to 17th. We are just a bit wary about the weather. We are from Toronto and are still putting up with winter temperatures! We have no doubt Bermuda will over exceed in terms of dining, things to do etc... but sun, heat and beach are definitely on the top of our priority list. Do you think we will be ok?
Thanks so much!
AnswerHello Neera,
May is the end of "shoulder" season. My experience is such that air temps will suit you well. However, it takes many weeks/months for the surface seawater temperature to warm/change and it will be too cool to frolic more than ten minutes or so in the water at the seashore. Therefore, if going into the ocean is of major concern do rethink to another date, perhaps mid June. Otherwise May would be fine.
Happy planning!
Michael
