Question
Is October a bad time to take a cruise to Bermuda?  I am afraid of hurricane season.

Answer
Hi,
Thank you for writing.

October is a lovely time to visit Bermuda and that includes cruising.  You see, the hurrican season runs June through November, and if people didn't vacation in those summer months Bermuda would never had reached the status that it enjoys.

The cruise season to Bermuda ends in November.  Maybe even the end of October, I'm not certainly exact.  That's not because of Hurricane potential, that is because the North Atlantic can get nasty that time of year.

I would not discourage you from cruising to Bermuda in October.  For many years we have chosen the second week of October to vacation there and it was always fabulous.  The air and sea surface tempertures were perfect for us.

In the event you were on the island and a hurricane was appraoching, the crusie ships leave in plenty time for safe passage.

Happy planning!
