Bermuda/Bermuda in June

Question
Hi, Nan - we are two families who have been friends for a lifetime with
teenage children graduating from high school next June.  We want to avoid
the Beach Week disaster by planning a two family vacation in advance that
same week for our collective group of 9 - 4 adults, kids aged 17, 17, 15, 14,
and 12.  We  would like a large house or two cottages together in a
convenient accessible location so the bigger kids can have a little
independence.  Any suggestions?  My Google search has only found 1 house
on the whole island so far, next to Belmont Golf Club.  Any thoughts about
that location considering our group?  Thanks so much!

Answer
Hi Lyn,

Here's a follow-up to your inquiry about rentals for next June. There are many options for vacation rentals throughout Bermuda.

Try searching www.bermudarentals.com on which you'll find a category of "large homes" to search.

Also, try wwww.bermudagetaway.com and  www.vamoose.com/search?vID=212.

There is a 4-bedroom house (sleeps 10) through http://rentalo.com/1511/large4.html

You might also try searching the "cottage colony" category on the bermuda tourism website's accommodation section.

The Belmont area is convenient to ferry stops by the way.

Keep transportation in mind as you chat with these rental folks.  Bermuda has a wonderful public bus system with ferry access.  Taxi cabs are friendly and you'll have no trouble.

Keep me posted!

Best,
Nan
