Question
Michael,
I saw the previous question regarding renting a power boat in Bermuda....I would very much like to rent a Boston Whaler..but have been unable to find information....have sailed into the harbor many times already...but would prefer a small Boston Whaler to investigate the Hamilton harbor....
Many thanks,
Eric

Answer
Hi Eric,

I've aquaintances who rented earlier this year from Mangrove Marina in Sandy's Parish, immediately at Somerset Bridge.  They have 14' Boston Whalers that hold up to four people.  This is the location that will give you access to the Great Sound, Hamilton Harbor, Ely's Harbor and the Sea Gardens off of Daniel's Head.  Rates are:  $65.00 for 2 hours, $100.00 for 4 hours and $165.00 for 8 hours.  Petro will run you another $10-20.  They also have 15' Boston Whalers that will carry up to six seafaring adults.

Last trip I inquired at Grotto Bay Resort.  More specifically, Blue Hole Water located at Baily's Bay.  Geesh, I was tempted.  Rates are about the same with the change being 4 hours for $110.00.  They have one 14' Boston Whaler. From here you have access to Grotto Bay and Castle Harbor.

With both companies anchors, biminis and maps are provided.

Happy planning!
Michael
