Bermuda/Boat Rental
Expert: Michael - 9/13/2003
QuestionHelp!
Going to Bermuda soon & cannot find
any info on renting a "fast" power boat.
Have checked just about every place on the web. None mention anything other than whalers, sailboats, kayaks, slow motor boats, etc.
Just once, I wanted to be able to rent a "faster" boat. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime vacation.
Please help if you can. Thanks!
Bob
AnswerHi Bob,
Cannot recommend a fast power boat rental. I simply have never seen them.
However, I would recommend a tour of the island on the Wildcat. This is an interesting way to see the island from another perspective. The Wildcat is a two hull, something like a catamaran but not, and operates with twin 800HP diesal engines. It flies. Around the island in two hours. The tour guide is Rick and he is priceless.
I would recommend if you were interested to pick a day when the inside seas are 4 to 6 feet, not 1 to 2. The local weather station on TV will give you that info.
It operates out of St. George on certain days and Hamilton.
Happy planning!
Michael
