Question
QUESTION: I am taking a cruise September 22-29, just how hot will it be on a cruise ship.

ANSWER: Hi Christine,

Unless you are taking a tour of the ship's boiler room you can expect perfect comfort in both your cabin and in the common areas.  These cruise ships are multi million dollar designs and your comfort is second most importance, right next to passenger safety.

Christine, your time on the "gem of the Atlantic" will be more than what you expect.  Remember, the Bermudian bus system is very functional and mopeds/scooters offer much flexibility. For your consideration ... a "blue flag" taxi tour.  If you have another couple you are traveling with, or make friends with someone who would like to take an island tour, the cost can be split.  The tour can be four, six, or however many hours you like. It is a very nice way to see the island.  Just look for a taxi flying a blue flag on the front right of his hood.  These gents are specially trained as tour guides.

QUESTION: I will be taking a cruise on 9/22-9/29 to Bermuda, unfortunately, I cant take the humidity, will the humidity be tolerable?

Answer
Hello again Christine,

The most humid months are July and August.  September begins to wind down from what may be for you the oppressive months.  The air and sea temperatures are wonderful but the humidity is on the decline.

From a fifty year mean I pulled the following data for the month of September.  Average relative humidity is 74.6%.  As I wrote that is an average for the month.  Because your visit will be approaching the end of the month it may be a bit lower.

In experiential terms September is the best month for me.  I don't have sweat pouring from me.  October is beautiful too. I can't speak to your level of humidity acceptance but September is delightful.  Hot and not quite so humid.  It will not be oppressive.

Bermuda lies off the coast of Cape Hatteras, N.C. and lies in the Gulf Stream from which it receives its wonderful ocean temperatures.

Hey Christine ... get my clarity up there will you?  hehe
Thanks.

Happy planning!
Michael
