Question
I'm taking a trip to bermuda and was wondering what i sthe dress code of the island? Do I need to bring a full suit and tie? Are jackets required for dining?

Thanks

Tony

Answer
Hello Tony,

Bermuda is not snobby.  However it is English proper.

Many restaurants request "Smart Casual".  Perhaps a jacket without tie, or even an islandy shirt or jersey and slacks.

Places that would require jacket and tie, suit or sport, would be The Waterloo House, Tom Moores Tavern and the Fourways Inn.  It may be a safe bet to say that if you were dining at a very high end restaurant then a jacket and tie will be required.

Otherwise smart casual in the evening.

Happy planning!
