QuestionMy husband and I are looking for an adults only, all inclusive resort, what would you recommend? Also, how are the beaches and water? Is the water calm or does it tend to be on the rough side?
AnswerHi Kristy,
There are no Adults Only resorts in Bermuda. However, I would not be surprised if the uppper end of "The Bermuda Collection" did not not have vacatoning there. The cost may be prohibative to take youngsters. The two places I would recommend are Cambridge Beaches (www.cambridgesbeaches.com) and The Reefs (www.thereefs.com). Both are located on the beautiful southshore.
The ocean is aqua-marine in color and wonderful. Cambridge Beaches has seven of so beaches and the they would be a bit protected from the direct surf and calm. To an extent, the Reefs would be also.
As for all inclusive, Harmony Club once only offered that and Grotto Bay offered it as an option. To me this would be no big deal. Most places offer a MAP (Modified American Plan) which includes breakfast and dinner. Mopeds could be rented for three days or seven or even one, and both resorts offer limited water sports activity. You may purchase bus passes too. The island is convenient to get around and explore.
What can I really say Kristy? I would be remiss if I didn't tell you that missing out on a Bermuda vacation for these reasons would be short changing yourself.
The two resorts I listed are best of the best. You may call 1.800.BERMUDA to request brochures of the island.
Happy planning!
Michael
