Question
Hi Michael!

We are thinking of a 7nt cruise departing 30Sep06 and are really taking this cruise to Bermuda for the snorkeling ...will water temperature, visibility still be alright?  Should we purchase the snorkel trips offered through the cruise line or seek an operator on our own once the ship docks.

Appreciate your help!

Answer
Hello Denise,

The weather, both air and water surface temperature, will be good for you.  The clarity will be good too.

Personally I would engage an operator once I arrived.  Someone who can bring you to the reefs or wherever.  Probably the same outfitters as the ship would use but at a substantial savings.  Traveling to and from wherever you choose to depart from would be painless.  Even enjoyable.  Your operator may even depart from the dock you come into.  When you arrive do pick up a copy of Bermuda Today at most any shop or tourism kiosk.  Here you will find several operators.

Bermuda is not the snokeling capital of the world.  But once you see Bermuda and what it has to offer you'll see that you had made a great desicion.

I love to snorkel too!  If you are anything like me you may consider horseback riding along the southshore from Spicelands.  It is a 10.

Happy planning!
Michael
