Bermuda/Stonington Beach Hotel - Bermuda

QuestionThanks for answering my last questions so quick. I have another though regarding Stonington Beach. What is the atmosphere like at the Hotel (relaxed or stuffy)? Is dinner smart casual or jacket? Do they have any special dinner nights (i.e. theme night)? Thank you. Joanne
AnswerHi Joanne,
You are welcome.
Regarding the atmosphere of Stonington it is relaxed, unlike other places where people with magnabucks go exclusively year after year. This to me promotes "stuffy."
Breakfast is casual at either the outdoor Terrace Room or the resort's Norwood Room. Smart casual is acceptable for dinner out doors on the Terrace. However, jackets are required in the Norwood Room.
Personally Joanne I would not let that scare me away. I think I would wear an uncollared shirt (no tie) or black silky jersey under a jacket giving me the hollywood look, I'd say Don Johnson look, but that would date me. Or even have fun with the local attire, Bermuda Shorts, knee length socks, jacket and tie. hehe. Honest, I went this route at last visit. It was lots of fun. Linda was decked out in a flowery island dress and I was looking rather English Bermudian. bahaha. All that was necessary was for Linda to pick me out the socks at the English Sport Shop. bahaha
I have not seen special themed nights. But they do offer the Dine Around Package where you could have dinner at any of the Bermuda Collection dependant on one of their guests requesting to come to the Stonington for dinner. A great great option. Dine at Cambridge Beaches, The Reefs, Arial, Pink Beach, Pompano ... Ahhh. Nice feature for sure.
Happy planning!
Michael
