What are the  good beaches to snorkel from beach in bermuda How is snorkeling or diving from Coc reef on elbow beach.

Hi Ben,

I just returned foprm Bermuda and did more snorkeling that ever before.  The areas we enjoyed most were:

1.) Archillies Bay around the coast north towards Tobacco Bay.  Just in front of Coot Bay are reefs with many colorful fish.
2.) Church Bay, but wished it was a bit more calm as it is open to the sea. Living coral reefs and many fish not far from shore.
3.) Shelly Bay.  We enjoyed snokeling here out towards the right where it meets the ocean.  We found treasures for our own keeping.  Broken pottery and small stuff.
4.) From Archillies Bay in front of Fort Catheirne are areas with many colorful fish.  We came across two patially submerged old cannons.
5.)  We snorkled Harrington Sound putting in at Shark Bay just northeast of Devil's Hole, in search for string ray but had no luck. (We did spot a few from the bridge at Flatts Inlet.)
6.) Tobacco Bay.  Many colorful fish were the bay meets the ocean.

We ran across several jelly fish.  We could not discern the man-o-war.  So just stay away from them.

I also rate the above Ben, in the order presented. Snorkel operators will take you out to reefs and wreks.
