Bermuda/guest house

Question
QUESTION: The guest house you mentioned where you've stayed the last 7 visits, may I have the name?

ANSWER: Hello Kathy,

I'm happy to share the name of "Sound View Cottage" in Southampton owned by Barbara and Eldon Raynor.  The Raynors offer perhaps the best view we've seen (it's as high as Gibbs' Hill Lighthouse) with views of the Great Sound and the ocean (South Shore). With only three self-contained studio/efficiency units, you'll find yourself surrounded by peace and quiet.  A small swimming pool on the harbor side provides nearly private relief from the heat of the summer and Eldon's new putting green on the ocean side is loads of fun.  The accommodations are clean, quiet and affordable.  Call Barbara at 441-238-0064.  But give yourself plenty of time to book as there are many repeat visitors year after year (like us).

Enjoy! Nan

QUESTION: Hi Nan, in you March 19, 2007 response to Marcia, you knew of a great place for a couple for 16 nights at around $680.per person. May I have the name of that facility.    Thanks.

Answer
Hello Kathy,

I was referring to Sound View Cottage - our home away from home.  Since that March 19 post, however, the daily rate increased from $85.00 to $100.00.  : (

I'm always on the prowl for similar cost efficiency in Bermuda, but haven't found a location with the same wonderful views and hospitality.  I'll keep looking!

Best Regards,
Nan
