Bermuda/hotels in bahama

QuestionWhich hotel should I stay at? I don't have to have the best on the island, but I really don't want a fleabag either.
AnswerHello Ernie,
It is not likely you would find a "flea bag" place in Bermuda. Guest houses have a bit less to offer versus the resort hotels, and in that, you pay accordingly.
But here is the skinny on a place we choose to go back often but not always. The Rosedon Hotel. It definately has its place for offering a wonderful Bermudan experiance.
It can be thought of as a B&B. They have rooms in the main house and others off to the wings surrounding a pool in a lush garden setting. Breakfast, eggs & bacon etc, are served to you either in your room, on your porch or to you at the pool. The common rooms are Bermudan, delightful and a nice place to say hello to others. You will find an honor bar where you take what hard or soft drinks you care for and settle with them when you check out. At 4PM each afternoon they have the traditional "Bermudian Afternoon Tea." Two large urns with large plates of finger sandwiches. Another nice time to say hello to others if you are so inclined.
The rooms are plain but are clean and have bath with showers, A/C and TV. The staff is friendly, cordial, helpful and pleasant. No negatives. A nice thing they do offer is complimentry R.T. transportation to Elbow Beach for use of their beach facilities. Last we stayed there it was the Stonington. Both have highly rated beaches. The R.T. and right to use whichever beach they offer is truly an extra.
The location of The Rosedon, accoss from the harbor, is a five minute or less walk along Pitts Bay Road, past the Princess to Front Street. Here you will find all the shops and restaurants and transportation including Alboys Point for access to the ferry. You will be in downtown Hamilton.
Ernie, The Rosedon is a winner. You may access their website at www.costa-rica.com/ or go to the Bermuda Department of Tourism at www.bermudatourism.com if you care to find more info on them.
Happy planning!
