QuestionWhen is the ideal time to trip to Bermuda?
Should I use a travel agent?
I would like to stay a week for the nicest but least expensive way.(My wife and I) What should I do?
AnswerDo note a change, or error in typing about March thru May. This is NOT prime beach weather. Sorry.
Hi Mark,
A travel agent can always give you lots of detail if you happen on a good one.
The best time for Bermuda is reflected in the rates and when they call "high" season running mid-March through mid- november.
June, July and August are the hot summer months and you could NOT count on totally beach weather in March, April and May. The north atlantic just doesn't warm up that early. August can be oppressive with high humidity. We love September and/or October a bit more than June, July or August. But I in no way would turn you away from the summer months.
The very best for the money is a B&B type place in Hamilton called the Rosedon. The value is extensive. Superb. R.T. taxi transportation to one of the finest beaches in Bermuda, afternoon tea. lush gardens with pool, breakfast served to your room, patio or at the pool, a short distance from downtown Hamilton, the ferry and great bus system.
Check them out at the Bermuda Department of Tourism website at www.bermudatourism.com.
The staff is super. You would most definately experiance a delightful Bermudan vacation.
There may be less expensive ways to do Bermuda but you indicated a desire for a quality (nicest to use your words)vacation. I translated that into one of the best experiances you could have.
Happy planning!
Michael
