Beverage Distribution/Exporting Oregon Beer and Spirits

Question
I am researching the channels to export Craft Oregon Beer and Spirits to South America and possibly Asia.
I have contacted the Oregon Liquor Control and received the necessary forms for license and permits.. as well as the TTB for the Federal Export permits, but in doing some further research, wondering if I need to go further with other agencies?  Do you have knowledge of specific channels I need to be following?
I appreciate any and all advice you could offer.
Thank you,
Teresa

Answer
I'm not familiar with exporting permits for beer.  There should be some opportunity to waive taxes applied, provided you can show that the goods have left the country.

Your challenges will be on the import side - finding agents that can get the required documents to bring product in, clear customs, meet sales tax and possibly health (e.g. local FDA approval).  Part of your research into importers should include challenging their experience meeting their local requirements.

Another issue to consider, but this is outside of licenses, is bonding freight and dealing with bottle returns (or recycling fees).  You could run into these at both ends - leaving the state and arriving in another country.
