Question
I have come across a bottle of 1983 Chateau Grillet.  Assuming good cellaring,
do you think this wine has any life left to it?  Or is it likely beyond its "life"?

Answer
HI Jeff

This is a pretty famous wine...but 25 years is really pushing it.  1983 was a good but not great year, so unless this wine had amazingly good storage conditions for its whole life, I would guess that it is a bit past its prime.  Still might be interesting and even tasty, but definitely on the downhill side of the curve.
