Question
I have four bottles of Bolla wine. One is a Trebiano 1980. The second is a 1978 Bardolino. The third ia a Valpolicella 1978,and the fourth is soave 1980.What do you think they are worth?

Answer
Hi Gordon

These are all very nice wines--but none of them was made for long term aging.  I actually know the preseident of Bolla quite well--he is very nice man.  But he would tell you that these wines should be consumed within a few years of the vintage...not twenty or thirty years later.  Sadly, these won't have any value on the auction market--they are almost certainly browing around the edges, with a faded nose and tired, flat flavors.

I am sorry to have to be the bearer of such sad news.
