Question
My mother in law passed recently and while going through some of her things,we came across an old bottle of jager that she purchased 30 yrs ago while she was in Germany. The bottle has never been opened and we were wondering 1 if its still good and 2 if there is any value. Thank you  Bryan

Answer
Hi Bryan

Distilled spirits like this don't change much with time--the alcohol levels are too high.  So the good news is that this is perfectly good  to drink.  The bad news is that it hasn't really developed in the bottle the wine some fine wines do.  The value today won't be much different from a current release.
