Question

brand4
I found a old bottle of brandy or cognac.  It apppears to be sealed but only 3/4 full.  The Label reads J.A. Baczewski.  Front and back label are in polish.  Do you have any information on the value of this. From the info if have found I think it is pre WWII.  I found some info on the internet but not on the value.

Answer
Hi Scott

Distilled spirits like this don't change much with time--the alcohol levels are too high.  So the good news is that this is perfectly good  to drink.  The bad news is that it hasn't really developed in the bottle the wine some fine wines do.  The value today won't be much different from a current release.

The bottle might be worth more than the liquour inside...check with the people at antiquebottles.com, who might be able to tell you more about that.

Sorry that I can't give you more exciting news.
