I HAVE A UNOPENED BOTTLE OF 30 YEAR OLD BALLANTINE SCOTCH IN MINT CONDITION, WITH THE ORIGINAL BOX. IT WAS PURCHASED IN 1977 IN LOUISIANA.IT HAS ON THE LABEL "21" BRANDS, INC. NEW YORK,NY. IT SAYS BLENDED AND BOTTLED BY GEORGE BALLANTINE &SON LIMITED DISTILLERS-DUMBARTON,SCOTLAND IT IS 86 PROOF 4/5 QUART. IT EVEN HAS THE LABEL FOR US INTERNAL REVENUE TAX PAID WITH THE NUMBER ON IT, LABEL IS UNBROKEN ALSO. HOW MUCH COULD IT BE WORTH?

Distilled spirits don't change much in the bottle, because the alcohol levels are so high. That means your bottle should taste fine, but it won't be worth any more money...I would estimate this one to be worth between $25-40.
