I have a 1987 White Horse unopened Ship's Decanter that was made for America's Cup in 1987. I saw one at auction that was empty for $250.00. Does a full, original boxed decanter add value?

Distilled spirits are very high in alcohol, so they don't change much in the bottle for better or for worse, the way some fine wines do.  So the good news is that your bottle should be just as good as the day it was bottled.  The bad news is that is hasn't changed much, and so isn't worth any more money to collectors.  I would estimate the value of the LIQUOR at under $100.  

But the bottle is more interesting--and the fact that your bottle is full might add value--but the experts on bottles are at antiquebottles.com.  They are good people there, and someone should be able to help you.
