Question
I have a 1960's bottle (un opened) of Mescal tequila that was given to my dad 50yrs ago.The bottle is very different than what is used today and the labels are in Spanish. Does this have any value or should I let someone enjoy it?

Answer
Hi Steve

Distilled spirits are very high in alcohol, so they don't change much in the bottle for better or for worse, the way some fine wines do.  So the good news is that your bottle should be just as good as the day it was bottled.  The bad news is that is hasn't changed much, and so isn't worth any more money to collectors.  I would estimate the value of the Mezcal at under $45.

So I would let someone enjoy it.  Sorry I can't give you more exciting news.
