Question
I have a bottle of : Trocadero - Rum Superior - White /1929
              "Destiladora de Licores Cubanos"
               Havana . Republica de Cuba
Sole Distributors in USA : Picker-Linz - Importers
My question is to drink? or does it have a greater value otherwise?
Thank you for your time and consideration
Philip

Answer
HI Philip

Distilled spirits like this rum do not get better with  age--the alcohol level is so high that they pretty much stay the same forever.  So this probably tastes just about the way it did when it was bottled. And it won't have a lot of value to a connousseur--I would guess about $50 max.

But the packaging might be more interesting. I would check with the guys at antiquebottles.com to see if any of them collect these older rum bottles...
