AnswerHi Leigh
Thanks for the photo! Remy Martin makes a lot of different Cognacs, but this is top of the line. Prices vary around the USA, but a bottle of Louis XIII may be priced as high as $2,000(US). The average price range is between $1,300 to $1,500. The handblown crystal decanter (by Baccarat) alone sells for approximately $100.
If you want to sell it, you will probably have to go through an auction house or wine shop to do that, and they will be able to give you a better idea of the local value. But they will also take a commission on the sale of 15%+ You might ask if a local fine wine and spirits shop would allow you to trade this in for an equivalent value of things you are more likely to drink...
Because of its high alcohol content, this Cognac doesn't age the way some fine wines do. It still tastes pretty much the way it tasted when they bottled it. That both good and bad news. It won't have appreciated in value over the years, but it is still as good as it has even been.
It is very tasty stuff.
