Beverages/Case of 1941 B&W Scoth

Question
Hello, Paul...
...I saw your answers re elderly hooch, but wanted to ask anyway. I've come across an entire un-opened case, circa 1941, of B&W scotch. The factory seal is undisturbed on the wooden crate, with straw packing.

The crate has been in the possesion of a family that closed a bar when the owner was called to service. It's been in the attic since WWII, and kept properly "racked".

I know that scotch is just scotch once it's been bottled, but maybe some "Sentimental Journey" value?...

Answer
Hi Stang

This mayhave some historical value, but not to a connoisseur.  You might check with antiquebottles.com--they know about such packaging--but the liquor isn't worth any more than a current bottling.

And if this were anything but distilled spirits, storage in the attic would have been a completel disaster!  It gets way too warm up there for wine or other beverages!
