I have no idea how much a bottle of wine that has been given to me is worth. It is a Chateau De Canesse
cotes de bourg 1986.
Can you help, please ?

Hi Marcus

Botes de Bourg is a region just outside of Bordeaux that has often been considered an up and coming region---but never quite got there.  The wines can be good, but rarely last as long a good Bordeaux.  With that in mind, I would guess that your bottle is already well on its way to being past its prime.  You still might find some lighter fruit notes and fading color, but I think it would have little value on the auction market.
